World Diabetes Day activities
The Sudanese Society of Nutritionists and Therapeutic Dietitians participated in the celebration of World Diabetes Day in different locations. Abu Saad Health Center, Al-Rumi Medical Center, Military Hospital. • The event included awareness lectures on diabetes and the importance of therapeutic nutrition.
Al-Taris Health Center, Southern Rural Area - Al-Taris/Al-Jumou'iya Villages - Omdurman. Partners: Federal Ministry of Health - National Nutrition Program (Micronutrient Unit and Therapeutic Nutrition Unit), Abdullah Khalil Diabetes Center, Sudanese Pediatric Diabetes Association, Sudan Pediatric Diabetes Center, Ahfad University for Women - School of Health Sciences, and the Board of Trustees of Al-Turais Village at Al-Turais Health Center. Event slogan: Towards an informed and educated community. The event included lectures on healthy nutrition, nutrition for diabetic patients, and the importance of micronutrients and the use of iodized salt, accompanied by an exhibition presented by the Federal Ministry of Health - National Nutrition Program - Micronutrient Unit. A therapeutic nutrition clinic, medical clinics (internal medicine and ophthalmology), and a health laboratory were also available.
• The event included an exhibition on micronutrients and lectures on the importance of proper nutrition and the role of nutritionists.
