Prof. Somiya Gutbi Salim
a distinguished Sudanese nutrition expert with over 23 years of extensive experience in teaching, consulting, and conducting research within the domains of nutrition, health, and dietetics. She currently holds the position of Coordinator of the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Master Program at the University of Science and Technology in Yemen. Dr. Mohammed possesses a PhD in Nutrition and Health from the University of Juba, in addition to multiple academic qualifications, including a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
Throughout her career, she has assumed various roles across Sudan, Yemen, and internationally, making significant contributions to the advancement of academic programs, curricula, and nutrition policies. As a professor and an active member of several professional organizations, she has authored numerous research publications and participates actively in training and media outreach on nutrition-related topics. Her areas of expertise encompass teaching, policy advising, clinical nutrition, and research, thereby establishing her as a recognized authority in the field of nutrition and health sciences.
