Mrs. Wafaa Mohammed Ahmed Elbadawi
Currently working in Ahfad University for Women School of Health Sciences as lecturer, teaching staff in school for all nutrition courses and Nutricetics courses for school of pharmacy. And currently working in Ahfad University for women as a Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Specialization, head of department of Nutrition and Dietetics Specialization leading all staff of Specialization and students. Head of unit of Nutrition and Dietetics for training and research center in Ahfad University for women. She worked in Ahfad University for women as Deputy Dean of School of Health Sciences, Deputy Dean for three Specialization (Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health and Physiotherapy). She worked in Ahfad University for Women School of health sciences As Head of Nutrition Department for nutrition and health center for training and research and Head of Nutrition Department for research and projects. She President and head association of Sudanese Association for Nutritionists and Dietetics.
She is a member in many committees, including Micronutrient Alliance, IYCF, IYCF-E technical working group and member in SUN. She participate in several projects including field trip supervisor on visiting rural areas for 10-13 days to increase awareness of community. Other Iodized salt projects with federal ministry of health as member in community mobilization team develop AEC material. She has served as an invited speaker at several programmes including Nutrition education programme in Nile TV in Ramadan (30 times), Nutrition education programme in Khartoum TV (6 time), and Nutrition education programme in Radio FM (3 time). The Pan Arab society of pediatric gastrectomy, hepatology, and nutrition annual congress Sudan, International Diabetes Congress, International Knowledge sharing conference on women girls health Sudan, International nutrition conference, International Federation of Home economics conference. Diabetes practice in the Primary health care centers, She supervised several research projects for undergraduate research project, research methodology course, Academic advising workshop, Qualitative research methodology, sub-regional health and nutritional literacy capacity building (WHO), Application of Quality standards in nutrition, National nutrition policy, national nutrition policy federal ministry of health, workshop of community awareness important using iodized salt to prevent from iodine deficiency diseases, endorsement guideline and practical guideline for food fortification by micro-nutrients in home by Vitamino. She had participated in training course of Code of ethics and good practice standards for nutrition and dietetics professionals and she participated as participants in the online global health symposium.
